Hotel Aircraft - Nuclear fusion remains one of the great dreams of science. Its possibilities of clean, affordable and renewable energy can transform the planet forever. However, we have not yet unlocked that technology. And any report that someone is "close" to breaking the code is met with more skepticism. But that doesn't mean the rest of us can't imagine what nuclear fusion would make possible. It is also not limited to thinking about the best, most practical and useful use of it. A concept video shows how that sustainable energy could power a giant hotel floating in the sky. With an aircraft that combines the luxuries of a modern cruise ship with the ostentatious spaceship
Tony Holmsten came up with the idea of a huge flying plane in the hotel, which Hashem Al Ghaili brought to life with this animated video. Everything about this design is magnificent. And we mean that in the best and worst way.
Hotel Aircraft
This nuclear-powered hotel is large enough to accommodate more than 5,000 guests flying above the clouds. On board, they could enjoy a 360-degree view of the massive hull. There they could stargaze or see the aurora borealis up close. That area will be connected by an elevator to the main entertainment deck, where there will be shopping malls, sports centers, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, playgrounds, theaters and cinemas. Whether you want to get married in the sky or simply enjoy a long vacation, seeing domes with balconies makes for stunning photos.
Ahead Of Busy Travel Season, Airline And Hotel Workers Say They Are Already Stretched To Their Limit
Even more incredible is the idea that the hotel plane is never forced to land. This is because it is powered by 20 electric motors that run exclusively on clean nuclear energy. This happens through a small nuclear reactor that relies on a "highly controlled fusion reaction" for unlimited energy.
This ensures that the ship never runs out of fuel and can stay in the air for years. Docking full-size commercial aircraft on the ship brings visitors to the ship. (Which really shows the comic size of this theoretical monster.) Chaos won't even be a problem! Asman Hotel uses artificial intelligence to predict air turbulence.
So, you know, a complete sci-fi story. At least for now. Maybe one day, if humanity really learns how to use nuclear fusion, this ship will really take to the skies. But if so, hopefully humanity will use technology to solve problems on Earth first.
